Donna Edwards Wins In MD-04

Donna Edwards, a public interest activist and grassroots candidate, defeated eight term incumbent Representative Al Wynn last night in Maryland's Democratic primary in the Fourth Congressional District.

Early Results In MD-04

The second of the two high visibility 2008 House primary challenges is being tallied right now in Maryland's Fourth Congressional District. Donna Edwards, a public interest advocate, is challenging seven term incumbent Representative Al Wynn.

With 18% of precincts reporting, Edwards has a 13% lead on Representative Wynn.

More Changes For Clinton Campaign

Per Chris Cillizza, Senator Hillary Clinton's Deputy Campaign Manager has resigned.

Mark Henry came to the Clinton campaign at the behest of former Campaign Manager Patti Solis Doyle. Doyle stepped down as Campaign Manager Sunday to take an advisory role with the Clinton campaign. Henry's background before the Clinton campaign included the DSCC, Governor Tim Kaine (VA) and Governor Mark Warner (VA).

Obama Projected To Win D.C., Maryland

Well, that didn't take long. Senator Barack Obama is projected to win both the District of Columbia and Maryland according to CNN.

Senator John McCain held former Governor Mike Huckabee at bay in Virginia and defeated him in D.C. and Maryland, too. Huckabee did better in Virginia thanks to higher than expected evangelical turnout, a demographic that exit polls showed broke 3 to 1 for Huckabee over McCain.
