Bush Administration September 12, 2001: Iraq Must Pay

Former CIA Director George Tenet dropped a bomb shell during his 60 Minutes interview a week ago, verifying many peoples’ belief that the Bush administration was planning an Iraq invasion not long after the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Additionally, Tenet said recently he never heard an Iraq conversation over whether we should do it; instead, all conversations witnessed centered on how to do it. Tenet claims there was essentially no debate over whether or not to invade Iraq.

Throughout the interview, Tenet clearly conveys a tremendous amount of anger over what he calls “dishonorable” behavior by top level members of the Bush administration. His anger is also apparent over the Bush administration’s outing of a CIA officer for political purposes.

Tenet is clearly livid over being the Bush administration’s scapegoat since the wheels began falling off the Iraq war. If the interviews are any indication of what the book has to offer, it is sure to be a #1 New York Times best seller for some time.
