Perry Rides On Pilgrim's Pride

It's no secret that Governor Ricky Perry and Lonnie "Bo" Pilgrim are political friends. What never ceases to amaze, however, is the extent to which Pilgrim has Perry in his pocket. The Houston Chronicle has a great article up today detailing how Pilgrim paid $9,000 for Governor Perry to fly to a news conference about waivers for federal ethanol mandates in Washington, D.C. This is in addition to Pilgrim's $100,000 donation to the Republican Governors Association (which Perry chairs) and a $25,000 donation to Perry's campaign.
