From the Playbook

If I were in the business of writing campaign commercials like Republicans do, I would have thrown this together:

Congressman Michael Burgess, Congresswoman Kay Granger, and 180 of their Republican colleagues had the chance to send the right message to our troops. Instead, they decided to tell us how they really feel. They voted against a resolution which would "support and protect the members of the United States Armed Forces who are serving or who have served bravely and honorably in Iraq." They voted against it — without shame, and without honor.

House Republicans — they don't protect our troops. They don't support our troops. Do they support America?

(Creepy music, 'paid for' message, etc.)

Replace Creepy Music

Replace creepy music with some Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan* or some Rachid Taha* and you've got a winning ad!

*adding the South Asian or North African sound is sure to creep out the target audience
