Brandon Friedman served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan and Iraq where he was involved in ground combat on a number of occasions. An active member of VoteVets, Brandon is an author and blogger whose combat memoir, The War I Always Wanted, will be released by Zenith Press in August. Writing under the pseudonym “The Angry Rakkasan,” Brandon’s other writings have been front-paged on Daily Kos, No Quarter, and ePluribusMedia. He has also been a guest on Air America Radio. Brandon holds a degree in History from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master’s degree (MPA) in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. He currently resides in Dallas.
