The Big “Guns”

As Iowa caucuses get closer and early voting nears, the top contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination are calling on friends and family to be in places they can’t and secure women’s votes.

Oprah Winfrey, popular day-time talk show host, will campaign for Obama in the coming weeks. This is the first race in which she has endorsed a candidate.

Clinton will call upon the former president of the United States and husband Bill Clinton to stand in where she is unable to make appearances in the last crunch for the Iowa primaries.

Both guests of the campaign will be largely influential in the push for women voters. Right now, Hillary is in the lead across the nation for women supporters; however, Obama and Hillary are neck and neck in Iowa for the demographic.

Winfrey stands to make it a closer game due to her immense popularity with women across the country, and that could be a cause for concern for the Clinton campaign.
