Poor Paul Wolfowitz can't seem to get a break. He's practically pushed Alberto Gonzales off the news radar today — and as we can all imagine, that's saying quite a bit.

Former CIA Director George Tenet dropped a bomb shell during his 60 Minutes interview a week ago, verifying many peoples’ belief that the Bush administration was planning an Iraq invasion not long after the September 11th terrorist attacks.

The Bush administration's exploits in Washington are negatively affecting various state governments, and nowhere is this observed more clearly than in Texas, the President's self-proclaimed home state. Currently, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who was re-elected by a mere 39 percent of total votes, is forging ahead with a power play, a la George Walker Bush, that will "shock and awe" most Texans. It will also endanger their civil rights and liberties.

I know this isn't the first time, and that various candidates have run commercials in the previous weeks, but it really hit home for me last night when at close to 1 AM during a rerun of Meet The Press, I saw a campaign commercial for Mitt Romney. We are through the looking glass, people. I had been thinking that all of this was getting underway a little early, but now the reality of the 2008 election has come to my very doorstep.
