Clinton Hostage Crisis Over
Fri, 11/30/2007 - 6:39pm
The standoff at Clinton's New Hampshire campaign office is over. The suspect exited the office, took off the bomb, and was quickly arrested by police.
The AP reports that that the suspect had a history of mental illness, while the Boston Herald says that he had been drinking for 48 hours prior. Both seem to agree that the suspect may have not had a real pipe bomb strapped to him, but instead made a lookalike out of duct tape and flares.
Obama's local campaign office, four doors away, and Edwards', a couple of blocks away, were both evacuated along with other local businesses. No one was harmed in the incident.
