A Few Sunday Items

If you were watching TV this morning, you've probably heard about or observed these.
First, Senator Clinton ran a talkshow sprint this morning, hitting five all in one morning.
It was mostly the goods from the stump speech and her regular plans, except for one tidbit she dropped on ABC:
The only real piece of news in the interviews came on ABC, where Clinton said for the first time that her health plan will not mandate or include coverage for illegal immigrants, who already receive emergency coverage under federal programs for children and the poor.
It was yet another sign that her plan is designed, most of all, for passage, aimed as it is to assuage the concerns of those who opposed her 1993 effort most fiercely: small businesses, and people who are satisfied with their current health care.
We'll see if there's much news about the news tomorrow.
The other thing I wanted to point out is that Florida has decided to not give up the dream: they will probably stick with having their primary on January 29th, despite the looming threat of sanction from the national party. The pledge of no campaigning from the major candidates is still in effect, and this may be a good reason for some of the people near the top to recuse themselves from giant media buys in that state.
