Grace's Holiday Wish

When given the chance to make one Christmas wish, it took me some time to come up with a single thought that could do the most good for the most people. I am active in politics, namely the Democratic Party, to help everyone realize their dreams in a just and fair society and to fight for the voiceless.

If I had a chance for one wish to be granted, no holds barred, I would wish for the enlightenment of the human race.

Despite the triteness of the wish, enlightenment would hold the key for many answers to numerous problems in the modern day world. Inner peace allows people to accept others for their beliefs and to stop placing our inner insecurities and doubts on other people. Doubts and fear create a volatile atmosphere in which many people are hurt, angry and afraid.

My wish may never come true, but I am proud to be part of an organization that protects people that cannot protect themselves by placing their needs on the top of the list of priorities.
