The Texas Blue creates a 21st century platform for advancing progressive ideas in Texas politics. The success of democracy depends upon meaningful discourse, and the future of progressives in Texas depends upon our ability to frame the debate.

Our vision is sharing ideas that build a successful platform for Texas progressives.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create an online environment for the exchange of progressive ideas.
Democracy & Discourse. We believe discourse is the cornerstone of our republic. The Texas Blue provides a forum for interested progressives to discuss the issues affecting our nation, our state, and our Party.
Active Democracy. We believe progressives must take an active role in setting the agenda for the 2008 election cycle and beyond.
Technology. We believe Texas progressives must embrace the opportunities provided by current and developing technologies. Progressives must utilize technological tools in order to regain control of the debate and the state.
Strategy. We believe elections are not won by accident. Victory requires hard work and long term planning.
Everything is Bigger in Texas. We believe Texas is a truly diverse state, and Texas progressives reflect that diversity. Progressives cannot hope to regain power in Texas if we do not recognize the need for a diversity of opinions and strategies. The Texas Blue provides a platform for progressives from all regions of the state to share ideas.
