Rahm Emanuel, Hero

Democratic Caucus Chair Rahm Emanuel has the perfect answer to Dick Cheney's recent statements that he doesn't count as part of the executive branch — a move to excise the office of the Vice President from executive funding.
It is a story that's picking up steam if for no other reason than it is a zinger worthy of the top levels of government: Do you remember from earlier this week when Vice President Dick Cheney asserted that the Office of the Vice President is not actually a part of the executive branch of government? He was making the argument that his office and operations were not subject to regulations on how classified material is handled.
Rahm Emanuel seized the opportunity to not only illustrate how insane Cheney's argument was, but also to make a cutting point of his own. Via the Raw Story and many other outlets: Since the Vice President's office isn't part of the executive branch, Emanuel will introduce an amendment to a spending bill which cuts funding for the Vice President's office.
The position is clear: if Cheney doesn't feel like he has to adhere to executive branch protocol, he can't get executive branch funding. Emanuel also released a funny image to go along with his announcement. From the Democratic Caucus website:
You can get the whole statement here. I am curious to see if the legs on this story last into this week's news cycle.
