Time Warner Attempts to Steal Free Speech Through Your Mailbox

Time Warner, the largest magazine publisher and news media owner in the nation, has cooked up an idea that will cost many of us even more of our rights to freedom of speech. Few have heard of this effort, because it hasn't been publicized except on listener-sponsored and/or free media.

In addition to buying out more TV, radio and newspaper companies, Time Warner has conjured up a scheme to use the U.S. Postal Service to increase dramatically the mailing costs of magazines, which would cause many smaller periodicals to close business due to the additional costs. The monopoly of Time Warner is growing systematically and rapidly. For years, the major player in the news media industry has been telling us what to watch and when. Now it plans to destroy the very foundation of our U.S. Constitution as it seeks to squelch sources of truth, freedom of choice, freedom of the press and freedom of speech of American citizens.

There is a way to stop this latest attack on small magazines, which are the last link to media truth. Contact www.stoppostalratehikes.com and sign the letter to the Postal Board of Governors protesting the new rate system and demanding a congressional hearing before any radical changes are made. The deadline for comments is April 23.
