John McCain is picking his friends poorly and then making them mad. Talk radio's Bob Cunningham went on a stump rant, which is later downplayed and rejected by McCain. Now Bob Cunningham is mad. And why not? He went all the way down to someplace to yell at a crowd for a good five to ten minutes, and this is this the thanks he gets?!

While it isn't the coveted Edwards endorsement, it is worth noting that Senator Chris Dodd endorsed Barack Obama and the usual press analysis followed. Dodd has party power and liberal cred and was being courted by both campaigns.
