While everything else is going on, John McCain is trying to raise enough money to compete in the general. To put the hill he has to climb in perspective: Obama and Clinton, thus far, have raised $195 million and $173 million, respectively; McCain has managed only $55 million in total.

3 a.m. Girl Supports Obama

Clinton’s "3 a.m. phone call" ad is popularly assumed to have given her an edge in last Tuesday’s primaries. Now it turns out that one of the two children sleeping under the watchful eye of future President Clinton is a seventeen-year-old Obama volunteer and precinct captain. The Clinton campaign purchased the stock footage featuring Casey Knowles from Getty Images. Knowles, who was unaware of the ad until her family caught it on a "Daily Show" parody, joked that she should do a counter-ad with Barack Obama. According to this AP story, the Obama campaign has already contacted her.

Tucker Gets the Boot

Bwahaha. Via Crooks and Liars:

Insiders tell TVNewser Tucker Carlson’s 6pmET show Tucker is getting the axe, but Carlson stays on as a political contributor to all MSNBC shows at least through the 2008 election.
