Give Thanks For: The Journey
Sun, 11/25/2007 - 6:06pm
In closing this mini-series on giving thanks during this holiday season, I can't help but consider that we are a scant few months away from picking the Democratic Party's nominee for President of the United States of America. We are then not many more away from deciding our new course as a country for the next four to eight years, and hopefully reestablishing our country's founding principles that have been lost sight of at times over the last eight years.
Give Thanks For: Helping Those In Need
Sun, 11/25/2007 - 3:00pm
Everybody has a moment when they realize they are a part of something much larger than themselves. For me that moment was in 2002, when Big Elm Creek in Abilene reached over 23 feet above flood level and began to seep into people’s houses.

Give Thanks For: The Work
Sat, 11/24/2007 - 10:00am
When I take a few minutes to reflect on the time I've spent working for the Democratic Party and the countless candidates I've had the opportunity to work for, there are so many things that have impressed me, and so many critical issues Democrats fight for that change peoples' lives every day.

Give Thanks For: Finite Choices & Infinite Possibilities
By Josh Matlock
Fri, 11/23/2007 - 2:00pm
Politics and elections are the most consequential aspects of our society. One does not need to be an historian or political scientist to understand this reality. After seven years of Bush Republican rule, I am optimistic and hopeful more Americans will now grasp the seriousness of elections and decide to become active participants.
Give Thanks For: The Good Old Days
