Nevada Democrats Pull Out Of Fox Debate
Fri, 03/09/2007 - 5:06pm
First John Edwards, and then everyone else: according to the Politico, the Nevada Democratic Party has pulled out of a Democratic Presidential primary debate that was going to be co-hosted by Fox News. Edwards declined to participate, specifically because of what we all know about Fox News — that it produces content that is undeniably biased against progressives. I'm sure there will be more on this story as the weekend progresses.

Who is Kos running against Cornyn?
Thu, 03/08/2007 - 2:21pm
I love mysteries, so when I got an email titled "Who is this mystery person?" from Patrick McLeod last week, I was intrigued. It pointed me to this post by Kos in which he says he's trying to recruit someone to run against Cornyn for Senate in 2008. He says he is very excited about this potential candidate, so I'm curious: who do you think Kos is talking about?

Bill Tracker: HB 231 - Renewable Energy Trumps Home Owners Associations
By Karl Lynch
Thu, 03/08/2007 - 2:10pm
We have all heard of extreme examples of homeowners associations filing lawsuits to prevent homeowners from building walls, painting their house the wrong color, or parking a RV outside the home year round. We have seen pictures of Santa Fe, New Mexico where almost all the architecture is the same. Imagine if the guy next door decided to go green and put in a big solar array in his front yard to capture the energy of the sun.
Thursday Roundup: The Brave New World
Thu, 03/08/2007 - 9:25am
I checked the Politics page over at MSNBC this morning, and from looking at the headlines I was immediately struck by how different the news world and political climate are from a few years ago or, in some cases, a few months ago. The tide has officially turned in the court of American opinion, and it seems as if the media has at least made some strides towards doing the job we wish they'd been doing the last six years. In case you were wondering, the headlines that inspired these thoughts and the rest of the Roundup are after the jump.
Sorry, Ann. It's still not funny.

Ann Coulter has reared her Republican head once again. Not satisfied with using an ugly slur specifically meant to demean John Edwards, and also clearly intended to play off of her audience's homophobia, she has now attempted to justify her use of the slur by saying that it was clearly a joke because John Edwards isn't gay.
There are several problems here.
