A New Cold War

They've had military parades. They've thrown our diplomats out of the country. Recently Mikhail Gorbachev has also accused the United States of running 'an imperialist conspiracy against Russia.' Russia is being awfully hyper-aggressive lately. Can't we be friends? Is it 1987 or something?

It's all that oil money talking, nothing more, nothing less. It's no coincidence that a number of leaders of oil-producing countries have grown increasingly obnoxious over the past few years. Of course, it doesn't help that a number of them are 'Axis of Evil' material (e.g. Iran, Venezuela, Russia, Saudi, just to name a few). Oil, militarism, and terrorism...it's a recipe for the perfect storm.
