Tim Russert, 58, Passes Away
Fri, 06/13/2008 - 3:03pm
MSNBC is reporting that Washington bureau chief Tim Russert has passed away of a heart attack today while working on Sunday's "Meet The Press" broadcast.
Russert is probably most famous for "Meet The Press," the longest-running program in the history of television. But many will also remember his Election Night news coverage during the 2000 elections, little election-tally whiteboard in hand, or his interviews of Al Gore and George W. Bush during that same period that won him multiple awards. He surely earned the spot he was given by Time just a few weeks ago as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. He will be missed. Our condolences go out to Tim Russert's family.

While I always enjoyed watching "Meet the Press", Tim Russert could certainly do a "hatchet job" and I resented the one he did on Howard Dean 4 years ago.
