Jeffrey T. Mitchell, Ph.D., is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Health Services, University of Maryland and President Emeritus, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. He is an adjunct faculty member, Federal Emergency Management Agency. He reviews for the JAMA and the International Journal of Emergency Mental Health. Dr. Mitchell, a recipient of the Austrian Red Cross Bronze Medal for his crisis intervention work, is on the Board of Scientific and Professional Advisors of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. He is an Expert Consultant to the UN Department of Safety and Security Working Group on Stress.
