50 Versions Of Right And Wrong

From the Dallas Morning News' Trail Blazers Blog: it seems that the Texas Restoration Project, an organization tries to get conservative pastors more involved in politics, has been copied and transplanted to Florida. The organization was first transplanted to Texas from a similar Ohio organization by Rev. Rod Parsley, who regularly makes public appearances speaking against gays and gay rights.

Unsurprisingly, there are many Texas Republican social conservatives involved: Aledo activist David Barton, former Texas GOP Vice Chair and Dominionist turnout guru who is currently head of the Dominionist group Wallbuilders; Houston Reverend Laurence White, Chairman of the Texas Restoration Project and co-founder of the Republican fundamentalist Patriot Pastors; and San Antonio televangelist Pastor John Hagee of the fundamentalist Cornerstone Church, one of America's leading megachurches.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee spoke to the Florida Renewal Project earlier this week, releasing this revealing little nugget:

“We cannot have 50 versions of right and wrong,” Huckabee declared and the crowd cheered.

Apparently states' rights took a rare Republican holiday that evening.
