George Nassar, the executive editor of the Texas Blue, is a 13-year vet of the IT and software industry who brings management experience and technical expertise along with his grassroots political experience. He was the campaign manager for Franklin "Mac" Poe's Justice of the Peace District 1 '06 campaign, the most successful Democratic campaign in Denton County. He also was a founding member and Communications Director for the Denton County Young Democrats, and later directed communications for the Chris Bell campaign's North Texas Coordinator, Josh Berthume. A graduate of the UNT computer science department, he holds a Department of Defense certificate in computer security.
