The Bush Administration's Trojan Horse

What are the chances that when you see a retired officer on the news acting as a military analyst they are actually a PR flak deployed by the Pentagon? The New York Times says the chances are pretty good that what you're getting is not objective or even subconsciously biased but rather engineered and targeted message distribution from the Department of Defense and the Bush administration. The relationships are more complicated than I am making them out to be here, but the essense is the same.
