John Sharp To Run For Senate

The Austin American Statesman reports that former Comptroller John Sharp will run for Sen. Hutchison's seat. Sharp has announced that he will put together a committee on 1 January, 2009, to run for the seat regardless of whether the race is in 2010 or 2012. Bill White, Mayor of Houston and a likely candidate, has yet to respond.
