No News is Good News

...and in that spirit, I note that Texas Republican congressmen Joe Barton and John Culberson made the news today for showing their true colors as being more interested in sacrificing bipartisanship to get in some partisan points instead of working together to benefit Americans and Texans.

It's displays like this that make me wonder how they think they can get away with working so hard to try to deep-six a stimulus package which was 45 percent tax breaks and supported by just about every major business group in America so that they could then hit the talk show circuit the next day and talk about a "lack of bipartisanship." Well, yes, it's true -- if they fail to come to the table at all, that does make bipartisanship much harder to pull off. Chalk Barton and Culberson up as two more working harder to divide us than to unite us. No surprise there, I suppose.
