Thursday morning Roundup

I'm still waiting to see if Craddick is done. Pitts is going to tell everyone he's managed to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat and scrounged enough votes together, and that now he will be Speaker and McCall will get some sort of shiny committee appointment(s), or possibly a pony. Additionally, the speculation has begun over which individuals stand to benefit from the election of a speaker other than Craddick, and it seems like Talton will try to carve something out for himself, based on his role as a chief instigator. I'm still waiting for the press conference. All these guys better hope they have something more than a statement and a handshake, or Craddick will win and then the state GOP will eat itself.

The Washington Post has a piece on Pelosi's priorities, which are wildly different than the usual descriptions of her would indicate. She didn't get to where she is by being dumb or beholden to ideology, whether she's from San Francisco or not.

McBlogger threw us a shoutout, and they've been in our blogroll since we started (all of 3 days ago). That review is totally going in our yearbook.

Also, Matt Glazer and Phillip Martin, currently featured here, are senior writers for the Burnt Orange Report, and I'm assuming that if you're here you've been there. BOR is OG, and perhaps even off the chain, as the kids might say. Musselman and Co are connected and on top of things.

Finally, Capitol Annex linked us on New Years Day, and Vince is a veritable font of info, and thus highly recommended.
