During the 2000 campaign, Bush went around championing ‘his record’ as Texas Governor. Having prior knowledge of Texas history and government, I laughed. And Rick Perry’s recent distancing from Bush's ever-sinking administration has me doing it again.

We really need to study this? A state agency is using our tax dollars to try to convince us we’re wrong about the Trans Texas Corridor and lawmakers need a year to give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down? Seems like the ultimate no-brainer but, alas, this is Texas.

The Texas Democratic Party is running a series of releases featuring Senator John Cornyn as the Grinch called "The Twelve Days of Cornyn."

Politico’s Mike Allen and Ben Smith decided to engage in a little Faux News-esque hatchet work with a tortured attempt to convince their readers that Obama is too liberal to win the general election. Allen and Smith’s lame story hinges on a 1996 questionnaire an Obama campaign staffer completed during his run for state office in Illinois. They claim some of his answers will assuredly provide Republicans ammunition for their ol’ antiquated wedge issue arsenal come election time.
