Many of the Texas Blue crew are in Austin for the weekend, and while we won't really be performing much of a mailbag function at the event, you could come and see us at the TDP Headquarters in Austin this afternoon at a reception kicking off the 2008 campaign season. Anyone who's been paying attention to news reporting on New Hampshire could say the state's Democratic primary was effectively over before it started. All public polls had indicated that Obama's lead there was still widening even on the morning of the primary. Not to mention that Obama's internal polling numbers had him winning by 11 percent, and Clinton's had him winning by 12.
So, of course, Hillary Clinton won the New Hampshire primary, 39 percent to 36 percent. Wait a minute — did I just say that?

The first primary votes are being cast in New Hampshire. Primary Day in the Granite State has been underway since last night at midnight, when the citizens of Dixville Notch and Hart's Location, New Hampshire — both towns with populations totaling less than 100 people — cast their votes.
