Liveblogging the Ohio Democratic Debate

We've got one more debate for you before the March 4 primaries: the MSNBC Democratic debate tonight in Cleveland, Ohio. Will Clinton go on the attack? Or will the candidates both once again be voices of peace and Democratic Party unity? None of the regular talking heads seem to have any idea, and neither do we. All we know is that this is Clinton's last debate before the primaries that may well determine whether her shot at the presidency will end at the Democratic primaries. Either way, we're liveblogging debate, giving you the play-by-play and our take on what we're seeing as we see it. Thanks for joining us.

Liveblogging President Clinton's Dallas Rally

1:02 Clinton goes for the charm offensive with a little humor about the White House, characterizing the job of president as "the most fortunate public servant in the nation." News Roundup, 2/21/08: Debate Day

John McCain had a pretty rough day yesterday — but then again, so did the New York Times.

Chelsea Clinton at UNT - Liveblog

4:58 Last question: the questioner has a little brother with spina bifida; what would Clinton do for him? Chelsea points out that fully funding Medicare would allow his brother to get the care he needs, and getting everyone universal health care would make those costs more affordable. Chelsea hopes everyone votes for her mom, and is adamant: "Early vote! Early vote!" before leaving to applause.

News Digest, 2/14/08: Stimulus Plan Signed

The bipartisan economic stimulus package was signed yesterday by President Bush, clearing the way for checks to come out in May.

The plan is nearly identical to the original plan passed by the House of Representatives. The bill that went to the White House added checks for veterans and the elderly that fell outside of the original earning limits, which Republicans had been pushing for. The food stamp increases and unemployment benefit extensions that Democrats were holding out for didn't pan out, however.
