The Ice Storm Cometh

It isn't treacherous outside yet, but as The Texas Blue has its home office in Denton, the Weather Channel is convinced that we are in a state of emergency. I wanted put out a quick update on national politics before the power goes out and we have to revert to living like hunter-gatherers.

Representative Duncan Hunter is the savant behind the whole 700 miles of border fence thing, and he would like you to know that everyone is lying about how much it will cost. Most estimates put it at about $49 billion, but he swears it'll only cost 2 or 3. I bet this will come up during the bordertown mayor / Homeland Security meeting later this year, and if that doesn't, then this definitely should.

And finally, for some reason, domestic surveillance by the intelligence community is on the rise, and they are looking at your money and where its going. So you should really rent An Inconvenient Truth rather than buying it, and if you have to take it home forever, pay in cash.
