An Insight to GOP Message

From Greg Sargent: Mitt Romney says that staying in the race would have helped Senator Clinton or Senator Obama win, and by extension would have "...been a part of aiding a surrender to terror." I wonder if he cooked up this equation of a Democratic White House with a surrender to al-Qaeda by himself. What a sad tactic. The GOP may not have been paying attention and will be surprised to find junk like this is far less effective in today's world, where Democrats lead on every issue, including national security and counter-terrorism.

Time For Consolidation

Insight, indeed.
Now that the Mittmentum is cooling its heels alongside the Joementum of 2004, I suspect we'll continue to see a bunch of grousing and GBCW rhetoric from the movement conservatives for a few more months. Two things will change this:
First, the closer we get to the national conventions, the more I expect to see our conservative friends' lizard brain instincts kick in and have more and more people line up behind John McCain. Second, if Hillary Clinton starts to pull away from Barack Obama and a Clinton nomination looks more likely, I expect that to speed up the conservative marching formation.
