Not Politics, But Cool Anyways

Did you know we just landed another spaceship on Mars? Photos from 422 million miles away are fun and educational.

Mars is closer than one might think.

I love science, and even political science. But Mars is still never more than 235 million away from Earth. One may have to travel 422 million to get there, but that is because it's a curvy road, like the one to the White House. Just picking nits here...

Fair enough.

I blame my own inability to take the most direct path to get to any destination for my shortcut between "traveled" and "distance to." There's a reason, I suppose, that I'm not an astronomer. Or a ship's captain.
