Special Election for HD 97: Better Late Than Never

Our good friend, Governor 39% Rick Perry, finally made the decision on Friday to call for a special election in Texas State House District 97.

District 97, the seat for which was vacated by State Representative Anna Mowery's recent resignation, includes southwest Tarrant County, Ft Worth, and Benbrook. The special election is set for November 6. In typical fashion, it is at the last possible minute. Anyone interested in filing to run for the vacated seat has until August 31. Hop to it, Democrats!
