Amber Moon is the Communications Director at the Texas Democratic Party and has been with the TDP since December, 2005. As part of the Party’s extensive rebuilding process, she has built an aggressive communications department and re-established a Democratic presence in Texas’ 19 media markets.
Prior to joining the TDP, Amber served as Communications Director for U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) in Washington, DC, promoting the Congressman’s legislative achievements and agenda.
In addition to her legislative background, Amber has significant campaign experience. During the 2004 election cycle, she worked at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee assisting congressional candidates across the country in developing proactive media campaigns.
Amber began her career in politics in the office of former Houston-area Congressman Ken Bentsen, working as Deputy Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant.
A native Texan, Amber grew up in Pasadena, Texas and attended the University of Houston, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.
