Curtis Clinesmith

About this Writer

Curtis earned a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Masters in History from the University of North Texas. Prior to practicing law, Curtis taught history in public schools. He received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he was a member of the Board of Advocates. The Board was responsible for the administration of all student advocacy competitions. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1997, and is a member of the Denton County Bar Assocation, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also an active participant in ATLA's Nursing Home Litigation Practice Group.

Clinesmith is active in his community. He has served on the board of directors for the North Texas Exes, Communities In Schools and Big Brothers–Big Sisters. Curtis is also active in politics, supporting those who advocate for the rights of the individual. Most recently, he served on the finance committee for Senator John Edwards Presidential campaign.
