It only took a week and a half, but here you go: Obama's projected to win the Texas caucus, giving him the total (non-super-)delegate edge in the state, 99 to 94.

Looking ahead to the next big contest, the polls show Clinton with a big lead in Pennsylvania. However, it is a long way to Tipperary, as they say, and the last few days have shown that anything can happen, and happen fast.

Texas = Centrist Democrats

A yearly National Journal report concludes that the Texas delegation in Congress has more centrist members than any other state. It may be disheartening for Republicans to learn that the GOP contingent from the Lone Star State is only the 4th most conservative.

While the voters of Mississippi were casting their ballots yesterday, there was a special election in Indiana's 7th Congressional District to replace Democratic Representative Julia Carson. Representative Carson passed away in December 2007.
In yesterday's election, her grandson, Democrat Andre Carson, easily won his first term as Representative from the 7th Congressional District.

A children's hospital in Columbus, Ohio drew protests over the proposed Abercrombie & Fitch Emergency Department and Trauma Center. The Nationwide Children's Hospital — named for Nationwide Insurance, to honor their $50 million donation — plans on naming its new ER after the clothing retailer to honor a $10 million donation toward its construction.
