Major Democratic Campaigns Ramp Up in Texas

Clinton hits the ground running in El Paso with rallies and other events, and Burnt Orange Report's Karl-Thomas Musselman was there to see a training session for Obama staff — more than 200 staff, that is — in Austin.

Texas Democratic Candidates Debate Set for February 21

News Digest, 2/12/08: A Big Day On The Potomac

The big news yesterday concerned the dynamic between Huckabee and McCain, and that relationship will likely only get more complicated today as Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. head to the polls and more delegates are handed out.

Hutchison and Cornyn Endorse McCain

Semi-warm off the digital presses from the Dallas Morning News' Trailblazers blog, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has endorsed fellow Senator John McCain for the Republican nomination for President. Senator John Cornyn endorsed him last week.

Doing the Math on Last Weekend's Primaries

We intended to post the final delegate counts for this weekend, but we’re not quite sure which count to go with. The major news sites generally agree on the winners and losers for each state, but beyond that, everyone’s delegate count is different. (The New York Times, perhaps wisely, sticks to percentages and leaves the delegates “to be determined.”) Rather than concoct an average through some esoteric mathematical process, we suggest you take a look and decide which count you like best.
