This time from North Carolina, and it is pretty exciting if you're into participatory democracy (and I know I am): 52,844 people under the age of 25 signed up to cast ballots so far in 2008. I'm really starting to wonder what the final youth vote numbers will look like once November is over and done with. Will the kids turn out?

You don't see this every day — the Royal Canadian Mounted Police executed a raid and search warrant at the headquarters of Canada's Conservative Party in Ottawa. And they won't say why. Which means someone may have been very bad. Maybe I just like the idea of Mounties breaking up political corruption.
