I have said from time to time that Democrats are ahead and winning on every single issue, even in Texas. BOR's Phillip Martin agrees, and does a good job of breaking down why the major issues in Texas politics this year are a losing proposition for Republicans. Phillip also points out that focusing on Tom Craddick is less than ideal - the goal is not just to oust Craddick but to win the House and pursue good government, too.
The Food Crisis

The other day we bought coffee. It had gone up in price over 25% in just around one month. Bread is more expensive, as are dairy products. We don't feel it as acutely here as they do in other places around the world, not yet anyways. Food prices are skyrocketing everywhere for many reasons. Paul Krugman says the food crisis is here and looks at how it happened.
