Sen. Joe Lieberman will be disqualified as a superdelegate at the upcoming Democratic convention after voicing his support for Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain.

The Draft Bloomberg gang has issued an ultimatum to Mike Bloomberg, telling him that he's got ten days to get in the race, or else. Or else what, I'm not sure. Maybe the Draft Bloomberg MP's will come for him. Anyways, details here.

The Republican presidential primary has been nothing short of watching a rudderless boat race with no wind to fill the sails. All the Republican candidates have been going nowhere fast. Senator McCain just happened to get there first sparking quite a revolt among many conservatives causing the party to devolve into a repository of rancor and self-loathing.

Now that Romney's out, what are Huckabee's chances of slowing McCain down? No chance in the long run, but pretty good in the short term.

First they wanted Giuliani and didn't get him. Then they thought Mitt might work out but he withdrew. Now Fox News has done away with all pretense and started just saying that John McCain is a Democrat. I wonder if working at Fox News feels like a fake job.

On the same day that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney suspends his campaign, the Dallas Morning News runs a piece about Texas conservatives and their disenchantment with Republican front runner Senator John McCain.

From Greg Sargent: Mitt Romney says that staying in the race would have helped Senator Clinton or Senator Obama win, and by extension would have "...been a part of aiding a surrender to terror." I wonder if he cooked up this equation of a Democratic White House with a surrender to al-Qaeda by himself. What a sad tactic.
