Interview with TDP Spokesman Bill Brannon

We caught Bill Brannon in the Spin Room and asked him what the long term effects of this year's primary will be. Video after the jump.

Video: Clashing Camps

Two groups of supporters - one for Hillary, and one for Obama - go at it outside the debate in Austin. Keep an eye out for the Obama yell-leader, who seemingly materializes out of thin air to motivate Obama's group. Video after the jump.

Video: Interview with Hillary Supporter

From outside the debate in Austin. We had footage of Obama supporters yesterday, so here is some of a Hillary supporter, after the jump.

New Texas Poll Data

In light of tonight's debate, it is nice to have some new poll data. IVR and KXAN don't necessarily tell us anything new with their most recent results — the race is still a statistical tie, and might even be getting closer, if you can believe — but it does reinforce what we already knew. Both candidates are going to have to stomp the earth to break out here in the Lone Star State, and tonight provides them with an opportunity to do just that.

From the Democratic Debate in Austin

After a long walk, a long line, and a long hallway, I'm here in the filing room. I'm gonna have some thoughts on yesterday and a few pictures for you here in a minute. Back soon.

From Inside Reunion - The Obama Rally Liveblog

1:45 PM - George: Well, it's a little over ten minutes after the close of the event, and of course, there are still folks around the convention center — much to the consternation of the event staff, I'm sure. I was working the floor, so Josh probably got a better vibe of the press impression than I, but it seemed to me many in the press was pretty much in shock at Barack getting applause for blowing his nose. It does seem like something out of a joke — like something that one would say intending hyperbole, and not something that one would actually see happen. The candidate could basically do no wrong with this crowd. Word is that he'll be making another appearance next week in Fort Worth, which we'll also be covering. And of course, I'll also be liveblogging the Clinton event today at 3:30 at the University of North Texas. Thanks for following along with us, everybody.

News Roundup, 2/19/08: Watching the World

Yesterday was seemingly a bigger day in international news than American politics, and the leading stories concerning major change were Kosovo's independence from Serbia and the Pakistani elections.

Some Endorsement News

McCain picks up some much-needed conservative cred with an endorsement from Bush 41. Texas State House Democratic Caucus Leader Jim Dunnam also endorsed as promised, and his nod went to Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
